Tuchel Questions Wembley Crowd Support Following Emphatic Wales Victory.

Thomas Tuchel voiced his disappointment that the England team did not receive greater support from the home spectators during their commanding triumph over Wales on Thursday evening.

The manager was pleased to see his team maintain their winning momentum, with finishes from Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Saka inside the first 20 minutes effectively ending the game. However, he was displeased with the atmosphere at the national stadium.

“We had limited training days to get ready against a well-trained team and we performed excellently,” the coach stated. “It could have been five goals ahead at half-time. We missed the fourth and fifth goals. There was little noise. We didn’t get support back from the crowd. We did everything to win.”

“How much more can you give in 20 minutes? We didn’t let them escape. If you hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it’s regrettable because the team deserved more support today.”

“I maintain this statement. There’s nothing more than being 3-0 in a derby. I hoped for a greater backing in periods where it becomes tough.”

“In the second half, to cheer us on, there was excessive support for Wales. It could have helped us to regain energy, but that’s the way it went and so be it.”

Squad Decisions Justified by Performance

Away from risking a fight with fans, Tuchel also created controversy by leaving out Bellingham and Foden from his team selection. But the choice was backed up by Morgan Rogers impressing again in the No 10 position and netting his maiden goal for his country.

“He is what he is,” the head coach noted. “He is a No 10 and he is vying for his place.”

Wales Manager Seeks Improvement from Loss

Craig Bellamy expressed hope that his team, who host a strong Belgian side in a crucial World Cup qualifier on next week, learn from their awful performance in the opening period.

“That’s the reason I wanted this friendly,” Bellamy stated. “I wanted to assess our standing. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? This performance fills me with drive.”

Injury Concern for Watkins

Ollie Watkins was substituted at half-time after hitting a post and may miss out when England face their next opponents in Riga in a qualifier on next week.
