A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the incarceration fatality of ex-Lostprophets frontman and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
